THE SECRET AND MYSTERIOUS BOX


This activity is intended for students especially in the second cycle of primary school, since it can be a little difficult. 

First of all, we have to organize the class in groups of five students. In the middle of the class the teacher will put a secret box with several things of the class. 

All groups will go one by one to see what is inside the box. Each group has to invent a story about the mysterious box. They are going to have to write this story, all the participants will have to have their part. When all the groups finish, they will have to tell the stories to their classmates.

After that, each group will have their computer and will be able to create their story in a more graphic way with applications such as Canva or Storyboard.

In this way, students will develop their imagination, writing and speaking skills.

 LISTENING, SINGING AND LEARNING! Learning vocabulary can be a bit boring, so if we make students feel attracted, they will pay more attention and learn better. Through listening and watching this colorful and fun video, children will learn essential vocabulary such as; animals, colors, the alphabet, numbers... Besides, they can watch it at home too since it's on YouTube. If they see it both at home and in class, they will feel more familiar and acquire knowledge in a simpler way. Later, to see if they have learned something, we could use activities like this one that I created in the Quizizz app.

 ARE WE STUDYING? On many occasions, family relationships can be a hassle for the little ones. Here we can find a very entertaining video , as well as an application in which we find a very easy interactive game to clarify doubts. If you do not have a computer for all students, the following sheet would also be a very useful and easy option.

IMPROVING READING SKILLS WITH KAHOOT Achieving a high level of concentration in primary school, more specifically in the first cycle, can be very difficult, so if we propose a game that attracts the students' attention, we can achieve it without so much effort. With the next Kahoot, we will review basic vocabulary such as colors, fruits and numbers.
